We are seeking a Litigation Paralegal in Charleston, SC you will be an integral part of our legal team, assisting attorneys in all phases of litigation. You will have the opportunity to work on high-profile cases and collaborate with experienced legal professionals to provide outstanding legal services to our clients. This role offers an exciting and challenging environment for paralegals who are passionate about litigation and eager to contribute to the success of our firm.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys in preparing, organizing, and managing case files and documents.
Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case calendars, deadlines, and court schedules.
Coordinate and schedule meetings, depositions, and court appearance
Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
Prepare and file documents with state and federal courts.
Manage and organize electronic and hard-copy document repositories
Discovery Support:
Assist in the collection, review, and production of documents during the discovery process.
Assist with deposition and trial preparation, including witness coordination and exhibit preparation.
Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
Coordinate with clients to obtain necessary information and documents.
Conduct legal research using online databases, libraries, and other resources.
Summarize legal opinions, statutes, regulations, and case law for use in legal briefs and memoranda.
Perform administrative tasks such as billing, time entry, and expense tracking.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to ethical guidelines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited program.
3-5 years of Litigation Paralegal experience in a law firm setting.
Proficiency in legal research, document management, and litigation support software.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of state and federal court procedures and rules.
