OPPORTUNITY | Litigation Paralegal
Adams and Martin, a renowned legal staffing firm, is partnering with a confidential law firm to seek a skilled and dynamic Litigation Paralegal. The firm, with numerous offices nationwide, is rapidly growing, particularly in their Atlanta, GA location. This role is a unique chance to take on a variety of law office responsibilities in a forward-thinking and expanding environment.
SKILLS and ABILITIES
The ideal candidate will have the following capabilities and demonstrate proficiency in:
- Expertise in electronic filing for both state and federal courts in Georgia.
- Ability to work proactively, independently, and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Skill in forecasting, calendaring court filings, and managing docket deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on prioritizing urgent tasks and meticulous attention to detail.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Consistent delivery of high-quality work products.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), PDF makers (Nuance or Adobe Pro), and efficient internet navigation. iManage experience is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparing state and federal court pleadings, motions, and responses for e-filing in Georgia.
- Handling multiple projects with competing deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.
- Drafting and responding to discovery requests, including interrogatories, requests for production and admission, deposition notices, etc.
- Organizing large volumes of case-related documents and quickly referencing specific items (e.g., trial exhibits, deposition transcripts).
- Supporting attorneys in defense litigation practices, including managing case deadlines, hearings, trials, mediations, depositions, and scheduling orders.
- Assisting in trial and arbitration hearings preparations.
- Daily filing and organization of pleadings, motions, and related documents.
- Maintaining an up-to-date calendar and prioritizing relevant deadlines.
- Entering billing time accurately and promptly.
- Maintaining a professional demeanor and positive attitude with colleagues, clients, co-counsel, and court personnel.
