Clifton Budd & DeMaria, LLP, a management-side labor and employment firm in Manhattan, is seeking an associate with at least three years of litigation experience. The applicant must be admitted to practice in New York State and Federal courts. A demonstrated interest in labor and employment law is preferred. Class and / or collective action litigation experience and admission to practice in New Jersey are pluses.
The Litigation Associate’s primary focus will be on discrimination and wage-and-hour cases pending before administrative agencies and state and federal courts. This is an in-office position. The associate will perform client-facing work with the firm’s employment litigation attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, including initial fact-finding, discovery, motion practice, and trial. There will be the opportunity to work in the other labor/employment areas in which the firm practices, including traditional labor negotiations, employee benefits, and labor/employment advice and counsel.
Compensation is commensurate with experience. The approximate salary range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000.
