The Role and What You'll Do:
The UFC is seeking a Line Producer to join our Emmy Award-winning production team in Las Vegas. This position will be responsible for developing and overseeing budgets, schedules, and overall production plans to support production of original programming and multi-media content, and will work closely with internal partners, including Creative Development, Post-Production, and Business Affairs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in delivering these services for major media companies, sports organizations and/or entertainment brands. We're looking for a skilled professional who will provide strategic direction and leadership throughout the production process is also a creative storyteller at heart, who consistently seeks innovative new approaches to their work, and who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic and collaborative environment.
  • Responsible for creating, managing and executing overall show budgets, logistics and plans for original programming and productions, for linear television networks, media partners, and our own OTT service, UFC Fight Pass.
  • Works with production management team to forecast and strategically plan overall assigned show budgets, to implement plans that ensure creative goals remain in line with budgetary parameters.
  • Collaborates with Producers, Operations, Directors to ensure production and technical requirements are aligned with show budget.
  • Facilitates the hiring of freelance personnel and/or third-party vendor services as needed.
  • Arranges location clearances and permissions for various field and studio productions.
  • Monitors and tracks all costs related to assigned shows, and oversees the process from initial receipt of invoice/expenses to budget actualization.
  • Works to establish new processes, procedures and methods that improve production systems and outcomes and overall workflow.
  • Works closely with the Legal Department to ensure all show productions are in accord with overall network policies, and facilitating legal documents related to shoots, third party production companies, and talent services for various projects.
  • Works closely with all UFC Departments, including but not limited to Finance/Accounting, Business Affairs, Travel, Operations, Communications, Digital Media, Security, and Facilities.
  • Ensures proper rights and clearances are secured when licensing third party music and footage used in shows.

You Have These:
  • 5+ years professional experience as a Line Producer or comparable role.
  • 5+ years professional experience managing production budgets.
  • Proven ability to manage teams for planning and executing large-scale productions.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Strong leadership qualities and organizational skills are needed.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed.
  • Experience in a sports environment is preferred.
  • Experience working on international productions is preferred.
  • Experience with legal language and contracts is preferred.
