JOB LEVEL: Machine Operator IV
Schedule: Gold Days (Thursday – Saturday, every other Wednesday)
Summary
Without supervision, sets up, operates and performs complex maintenance on any and all specialized production and non-production equipment. May instruct and/or direct the work of a variety of others. Keeps necessary records and investigates rejects and failure patterns. Works to sketches, diagrams, drawings, written and verbal instructions. Acts to maintain the integrity of processes and final product quality.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Performs required visual appraisal, sampling, and product testing
- Uses phone, email, fax or paging resources, as required
- Responds appropriately to system, process, or material problems
- Plans and coordinates crew activities
- Demonstrates required understanding of equipment function and controls
- Performs all tasks associated with consistent work area cleanliness
- Effectively uses all required computer and document resources
- Performs required tasks using appropriate tools and methods
- Organizes and directs routine line operations
- Demonstrates knowledge of appropriate material disposition, including recycling
- Performs required tasks using appropriate methods and equipment
- Uses appropriate resources to identify, locate or track materials
- Follows SOP’s using correct materials and tools
- Performs required tasks for product changeover and startup
- Generates/maintains required records, reports, logs, files, etc
- Understands all job hazards, demonstrates safe behaviors
- Initiates, maintains, and interprets SPC tools required for this position
- Is aware of and effectively uses appropriate support resources
- Understands and applies all required instructions
- Performs other duties as assigned
