Position Purpose: The Line Cook is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality and cost-efficient food, including banquets, in a fraternal club setting.
Major Duties:
1. Assists in managing all kitchen operations of the Carlisle Elks Lounge. This includes operation of a full-service kitchen for daily dining, along with providing food for a banquet facility with a capacity of up to 300 people
2. Works with General Manager to create and maintains a compelling dinner and banquet menu, creates weekly specials and orders/inventories all food and kitchen supplies
3. Ensures that all required certifications of staff (e.g., ServSafe) are up-to-date
4. Ensures a clean and compliant kitchen area
5. Responsible for kitchen equipment maintenance and providing recommendations to the Board of Trustees regarding replacement of defective equipment or procuring new equipment that would improve the quality of Lounge operations
Requirements:
Experience in the club operations of a fraternal organization is a plus
Salary is negotiable and based on the candidate’s experience
