Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation
- Assist in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a line cook or prep cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food safety guidelines and best practices
- Strong culinary skills with the ability to follow recipes accurately
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent knife skills for food preparation
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
