Wage: $17.50 - $20.00 an hour

Shifts - Full - Time Daytime

Summary:

The Pastry Prep Cook will prepare, decorate, and store all bakery and pastry items served in various food outlets, maintain the bakery, pastry reach-ins, and dry storage.

Responsibilities:

• Complete daily and weekly task lists on time as assigned
• Produce cookies, cakes, pies and breads from scratch
• Assure that the quality of the food is up to the set standards
• Maintain bakery workspace cleanliness and organization
• Maintain strict control of food waste and correct storage.
• Adhere to and uphold Thanksgiving Point’s Mission, Values and Policies
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of a variety of baking techniques
• Ability to read and execute recipes in English
• Flexibility to adjust schedule to meet production requirements
• Great work ethic including willingness to execute tasks timely and effectively with a great attitude and attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Current Food Handler’s Permit
• Experience in all aspects of pastries and breads preferred
• Must pass a background check
