Pastry Prep Cook
Wage: $17.50 - $20.00 an hour
Shifts - Full - Time Daytime

Summary:
The Pastry Prep Cook will prepare, decorate, and store all bakery and pastry items served in various food outlets, maintain the bakery, pastry reach-ins, and dry storage.
Responsibilities:
- Complete daily and weekly task lists on time as assigned
- Produce cookies, cakes, pies and breads from scratch
- Assure that the quality of the food is up to the set standards
- Maintain bakery workspace cleanliness and organization
- Maintain strict control of food waste and correct storage.
- Adhere to and uphold Thanksgiving Point’s Mission, Values and Policies
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of a variety of baking techniques
- Ability to read and execute recipes in English
- Flexibility to adjust schedule to meet production requirements
- Great work ethic including willingness to execute tasks timely and effectively with a great attitude and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Current Food Handler’s Permit
- Experience in all aspects of pastries and breads preferred
- Must pass a background check
