Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team. Duties:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food preparation
- Maintain inventory of food supplies and notify management when items need to be restocked
- Adhere to portion control guidelines to minimize waste
- Assist with cleaning duties, including washing dishes, sanitizing workstations, and organizing kitchen equipment
Skills:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook or Prep Cook in a restaurant or food industry setting
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Proficient knife skills for cutting, chopping, and slicing ingredients
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
