Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and marinating meats
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Ensure that food is stored properly and at the correct temperature
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service
Experience:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food industry setting is preferred
- Knowledge of dietary department operations is a plus
- Familiarity with restaurant operations and procedures is beneficial
- Understanding of food handling and safety regulations
- Culinary training or certification is a plus
- Proficiency in using kitchen equipment, including knives, grills, and ovens
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
