We have an immediate opening for a PREP/LINE COOK with a positive, energetic work ethic and personality to join our team-oriented neighborhood bar and grill establishment.
Requirements:
- Must be team-oriented, reliable and focused on customer satisfaction
- Prepare and cook food in accordance with specifications and company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
- Ensure high standards for food quality, portion control and plate presentation
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Ability to complete assigned pre-work and closing duties to stock and set up stations as necessary
- Strong culinary skills and a passion for food are essential
- Ability to perform calmly and effectively under pressure and as part of a team is crucial
- Excellent communication skills to work seamlessly with servers, bartenders and the kitchen team
- Open to experimenting with new dishes and menu ideas to keep our customers coming back for more
- Ability to think on your feet to navigate ingredient shortages and equipment hiccups
- Previous experience in a kitchen pub/restaurant setting is preferred
- Assist with all aspects of banquet/special event parties from set up, food preparation and break down of event
- Basic culinary coursework or related experience desired, but not necessary
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn are necessary
- Ability to lift 30-50 pounds

- Must be available to work afternoons, nights, weekends and holidays
