Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Department Information

Wellstar College School of Nursing is Transforming Lives. Recognized as the largest nursing program in north Georgia, (WSON) Wellstar School of Nursing students consistently outpace national figures for first-time pass rates on the National Council Licensure Examination. Kennesaw State University's Wellstar School of Nursing was established over 45 years ago, housed within Wellstar College; the school offers baccalaureate and master's degrees, nationally ranked by U.S. News & World Report. WSON currently employs more than 70 dedicated nursing faculty and clinical specialists.

Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for nine-month, full-time, non-tenure track, Limited Term Instructor or Limited Term Assistant Professor of Nursing Faculty Positions in the Wellstar School of Nursing that begins August 2024. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with experience. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities

These positions report to the Director of the Wellstar School of Nursing. Primary teaching responsibilities will be in undergraduate or graduate classroom and clinical courses. There is also the possibility of service on department committees.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications

To teach undergraduate courses:

• A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Nursing.

To teach graduate courses:

• A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Nursing or a related discipline is required.

AND candidates must also have:

• A clinical background in one or more: adult health, community health, psychiatric/mental health, parent/child or women's health nursing and/or skills and simulation labs.
• An active RN license in Georgia or eligibility for a Georgia nursing license.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior teaching experience
• Ability to teach in face-to-face, on-line or hybrid modalities

Background Check
