Spring 2024 classes begin January 10th and run through May 9th with final examinations the week of May 3-9th.

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities include three hoursof lecture per week for approximately 15 weeks of the course. The coursesyllabus and material will be provided by the department head. The coursematerial will include a textbook, in-class activities, and example quizzes,homework, exams, etc.

Adjunct Lecturer will be responsible for supervising teaching assistants (TA) or graders depending on course enrollment numbers.
Adjunct Lecturer must be accessible by students in office hours that may meet on campus or via phone/Zoom for 2 hours per week during their instructional period. Also, the instructor should be available via email throughout the week.
Adjunct Lecturer will be responsible for preparing and delivering all lectures; development of homework and providing homework solutions to the grader or TA; and development and grading of examinations.
Adjunct Lecturer is responsible for entering grades into the UA online system.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Selected candidate will hold a PhD in Chemicalor Environmental Engineering or relevant background OR MS degree inChemical or Environmental Engineering or equivalent discipline and 5+years of experience. 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching at the university level with preference to having taught this or a similar course.
