Technical Support Representative
Elite Lighting, the manufacturer of LED lightings headquartered in City of Commerce, is seeking a motivated and diplomatic certified electrician as Technical Support Representative to support the company to monitor, diagnose and troubleshoot all incoming issues with Elite`s products. The Technical Support Representative must be familiar with all types of lighting (especially LED lighting) as well as be familiar with electrical configurations.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, diagnose, and troubleshoot all electrical systems and products over the phone, by email and in-person.
- Handle all emails and calls on a daily basis, prioritizing urgent requests (those with strict job deadlines)
- Complete all troubleshooting jobs, installations, repairs and maintenance task assigned in a timely manner.
- Continually develop and make suggestions on how to upgrade products, dimming options, and literature
- Assist manufacturing with any Technical Support questions/issues.
- Help the purchasing departments create installation sheets.
- Help the customer service department, quotations & project management with any technical issue they may have.
- Create line drawings.
- Create in house RMA's.
- Traveling to jobsites and helping resolve issues.
- Create reports after jobsites and provide a resolution to prevent the same issue from happening again.
- Schedule training with our vendors for any new product so our team may be more knowledgeable with their product.
- Maintain records for work assigned, jobs addressed, and work completed in a neat and organized manner.
- Use CALL.E to enter and track all pending customer issues.
- Provide positive and prompt response to requests from customers.
- Demonstrate familiarity with Lutron drivers, master controls, dimming, and LED driver to LED board basic configurations.
- Maintain tools, parts equipment and supplies in clean and safe condition.
- Comply with all policies and procedures (e.g. customer service, safety, usage and handling of hazardous or restricted material)
- Communicate with customers professionally and promptly.
Qualification:
- Bachelor`s degree (Preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum of two years’ experience in general electrical service work (residential and/or commercial, retail) preferred.
- Must have some field-installation experience.
- Good computer skills and the ability to monitor, navigate and utilize equipment operating systems.
- Must hold Electrical License and/or Certification.
- Know how to use Solid Works (this is a plus)
- Know how to use power tools (required)
- Know how to use Scalable Vector Graphics (SVGs), our company utilizes Inkscape.
- Some knowledge in DMX systems.
- Know how to read wiring schematics.
- Knowledge in NEC codes.
- Ability to read and understand schematic, electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings.
- Ability to lift product up to 30 LBS occasionally.
- Related work experience: 2 years (Preferred)
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel): 2 years (Required)
- Microsoft Outlook: One year (Preferred)

- Work is Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM
