As the Lighting Designer, you will be responsible for designing and documenting the appropriate lighting in our retail stores to create visually stunning and functional environments. You will collaborate with our team of designers, managers, consultants, and clients to bring design visions to life. Your creativity, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence will be instrumental in creating awe-inspiring interiors.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Interior Designers to determine an initial lighting plan.
- Preparing lighting design calculations and designing and documenting lighting plans which include details about the lighting equipment and placement.
- Selecting and specifying light fixtures.
- Collaborate closely with Interior Designers and Consultants to ensure designs and drawings are coordinated and meet project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with code requirements on ship and land projects.
- Assist Interior Designers in creating In-Store Design Guidelines & Standards
- Travel for project design meetings and site visits as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in interior design, Lighting Design or Architecture
- Proven experience in lighting design, preferably in retail spaces.
- Experience in creating lighting plans, lighting schedules and lighting specifications packages.
- Proficient computer skills utilizing AutoCAD and Adobe Suites and experience with lighting software such as AGI32.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing project requirements in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with codes requirements for cruise ship and land projects.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
