Light Duty Diesel Mechanic Technician

We are currently seeking a Master Technician to become an integral part of our team! You will diagnose, adjust, repair, and overhaul diesel pick up trucks(Ford, GM, Dodge and Ram).

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose cause of any malfunction and performs repair.
• Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Performs routine vehicle tune-ups and maintenance.
• Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is recommended.
• Communicates with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed or if repairs cannot be competed within the promised time.
• Properly documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Road tests vehicles when required.
• Keeps shop area neat and clean.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Light Duty Diesel technician or highly advanced automotive technician who is eager to learn Light Duty Diesel engines.
• Knowledge of O.E.M diagnostics and repair equipment (Tech ii, wiTech, IDS, etc).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required.
• Must be able to follow flowchart diagnostics completely and prove the failure.
• Deadline and detain-oriented.
• Must be able to provide your own tools (scan tools and specialty tools are provided)

We are a family run diesel pick up truck repair shop. We specialize in Cummins (Dodge and Ram), Powerstroke (Ford), and Duramax (GM and Chevrolet) diesel repairs. We do all bumper to bumper repairs, modifications, suspension upgrades and preventative maintenance. We are not a tire shop and do not work on cosmetic body work. We are open 8 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday. We are closed on the weekends and closed on Federal Holidays. One week paid vacation after a year, then two weeks paid vacation after two years of employment.
