POSITION SUMMARY:
To provide hands-on training and supervision to individuals with developmental disabilities (clients) working on crews in community while ensuring that all assigned contracts work is satisfactorily completed, and document their progress toward identified goals, as required by the program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides skills training to assigned clients in a group setting. Training will include facilitating all aspects of employment.
- Provides training necessary to meet quality and production standards of the employer.
- Provides documentation, including development of goals and objectives. Provides data on client progress via tracking forms and log notes.
- Train and oversee clients to ensure safe operation and maintenance of assigned service equipment, and that proper procedures are followed.
- Train and oversee clients to ensure use of proper service techniques (landscape, janitorial, litter abatement), safe and appropriate use of chemicals and products, and proper procedures.
- Meets all contract obligations as required and in a timely manner.
- Provide client supervision at all times, including special activities, lunch duty, bus times, and breaks.
- Accurately and legibly complete all required forms - accident/injury reports, progress reports, production reports, attendance reports, field trips, personnel, etc., within specified time frame.
- Uses computer to evaluate and chart client progress in the electronic client record.
- Completes client payroll sheet on a daily basis in an accurate manner.
- Performs other duties as required.
JOB REQUIREMENT:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must possess a valid California Driver's License and ability to pass background check, physical, Tb test and drug test.
- Must be able to push and pull up to 50 pounds.
