Job Description:

The Life Skills Workshop Case Manager at Camp Kilpatrick plays a pivotal role in facilitating the personal development and rehabilitation of the youth under our care. This role involves working closely with young individuals to empower them with essential Life Skills, providing guidance, support, and educational resources.

Key Responsibilities:

Life Skills Workshops: Develop and facilitate Life Skills workshops on various topics, including financial literacy, communication, conflict resolution, job readiness, self-esteem, and more. Tailor workshops to meet the unique needs of youth in the facility.

Individual Assessments: Conduct individual assessments of each youth's strengths, challenges, and goals. Create personalized development plans to address their specific needs.

Case Management: Provide ongoing case management to a caseload of youth, offering one-on-one support, goal setting, and tracking progress in areas such as education, employment, and personal development.

Mentorship: Serve as a mentor and positive role model, fostering healthy relationships and communication with the youth to instill values, self-discipline, and personal responsibility.

Collaboration: Collaborate with other members of the Camp Kilpatrick team, including counselors, educators, and therapists, to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to youth development.

Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of youth progress, case notes, and workshop outcomes. Generate reports as needed for internal and external stakeholders.

Community Resources: Connect youth with community resources, services, and opportunities that support their reintegration into society upon release.

Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention and support when necessary, helping youth navigate challenging situations and emotions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in juvenile justice or social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field.
  • Experience preferred over a degree.
  • Relevant experience working with at-risk youth, preferably in a correctional or rehabilitation setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of and experience in designing and delivering Life Skills workshops.
  • Understanding of the challenges and needs of youth involved in the criminal justice system.
  • Ability to be empathetic, patient, and non-judgmental while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Knowledge of community resources and services to aid in youth reintegration.
  • Crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
