Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities and programs that enhance the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents. The Life Enrichment Specialist will work closely with our residents to ensure their individual needs and preferences are met, promoting a positive and fulfilling lifestyle.
Midland Care's Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) is a not-for-profit health care program that helps people at risk for needing nursing home care who meet a level of care requirement stay in their own homes and communities.
Employment Status: Full-time | Monday-Friday | 8:00am-5:00pm
Pay Rate starts at $16/hr. (pay is based on like experience/requirements.)
Duties
- Support the development and orientation of Life Enrichment and PACE staff and volunteers.
- Fulfills administrative requirements including timely completion of evaluations/reassessments, charting, and maintaining records.
- Actively participates in the interdisciplinary team meetings, communicating participant changes to the team as treatment plans are developed.
- Ensure activities are documented in the medical record.
- Treats all people with respect; maintains confidentiality and strives toward service excellence. • Participates in Quality Assurance activities as appropriate.

Qualifications
Required: One year experience working with an elderly population; interdisciplinary teamwork, ability to work effectively with culturally, economically and educationally diverse populations, and form positive interpersonal relations in dealing with a wide range of staff participants essential; Ability to assist with activities at home and in center. Good understanding of psychosocial problems of aging. Must possess a valid Kansas Driver's License, in force automobile liability insurance and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets organization's insurability standard as defined by Midland policy.
Preferred: Current Certified Nurse Aide (CNA), Certified Medication Aide (CMA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) Certification.
