Experience in activity programming and long term care preferred but not required

Duties: Include but are not limited to:
Assist in planning, developing, organizing, and implementing activity programs within the facility
Lead structured groups and evaluate the activity program satisfaction
Involve the residents and families in planning activity programs, objectives and goals when possible
Coordinate activities with other departments as necessary
Develop and maintain a good working rapport with interdepartmental personnel
Observe resident attendance, mood, behavior, and degree of involvement and ensure that all activity participation is charted efficiently
Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information (HIPAA)
Maintain a clean, neat appearance and wears the appropriate uniform or attire
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Must be able to pass pre-employment physical.
Ability to read, write and speak and understand English
Ability and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel
Ability to professionally interact with personnel, residents, family members, and visitors, government agencies and general public
Demonstrates patience, compassion, enthusiasm and a cheerful disposition
Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions and to accept constructive criticism
