Life Enrichment/ Activity Assistant

We are hiring! We are currently looking for a full-time or possibly part-time energetic, creative, Activity coordinator for our program! We are a hands on, small, faith based company that primarily serves the Edwardsville and Maryville area.

Supporting Community Independence is an intermittent and 24 hour CILA provider for adult individuals with developmental disabilities. Our folks live independently in the community with the direct support from our team. Many of our individuals have community employment, and attend College, They are comfortable being home alone for periods of time.

The Activity Director will be responsible for the following:

- Creating monthly activity calendar

- Research area events and partner with the community for different activities and groups

- Creating individualized, daily activities for residents in program

- Facilitating group activities including recreational events and independent living skills groups

- Accompanying and driving individuals on activities and outings

- Providing leadership to DSP's who assist you on activities

- Completion of case notes for each individual worked with daily

- Other duties as assigned by Administrative Team

The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly organized, flexible, reliable, a team leader, and is compassionate for individuals with disabilities. DSP certification and current CPR/First Aid certification is preferred, but we will train the right candidate. Paid time off is eligible to full-time employees! Mileage is reimbursed for travel. A clean driving record and ability to pass a background check is required.
