The Life Enrichment Supervisor is responsible for planning and delivery of recreational and life enriching programs designed to meet and honor the physical, cognitive, emotional, spiritual, educational and social needs of all residents, based on an individualized assessment.

Ecumen Prairie Hill and Ecumen Sand Prairie are hiring a Life Enirchment Specialist Ecumen Sand Prairie consists of 42 assisted living rental apartment homes, and Ecumen Prairie Hill consists of 43 independent living and assisted living rental apartment homes, as well as 20 additional residences for seniors requiring memory care services. Both are located in St. Peter, Minnesota, and are apart of the Ecumen Pathstone campus.

Opportunity Details:
Schedule: Full-Time. M-F 8a-4:30p. Leadership on Duty Weekend Rotation included.
Pay: $18.10-$23.00 depending on experience. Outstanding benefits offered.
Essential Job Responsibilities:

1. Develops and maintains a master calendar of events, outings and other Life Enrichment opportunities for residents.
2. Plans and conducts individual and group activities, events, and outings to meet the assessed needs of residents. Documents resident participation.
3. Performs assessments (initial, quarterly, annual) of residents' Life Enrichment needs and completes required sections of MDS, assists in the development of care plan to meet those needs, and participates in resident care conferences.
4. Develops and maintains policies and procedures pertaining to Life Enrichment and communicates these to Life Enrichment staff and other departments.
5. Supervises Life Enrichment staff.
6. Provides transportation for residents to outings using community vehicle.
7. Empowers residents to develop interpersonal relationships, socialize effectively and develop confidence to participate in individual and group programming activity.
8. Responsible for department budget and ensuring availability of supplies.
9. Maintains an interdisciplinary focus, being mindful of the needs and operations of other departments. Communicates with other departments in advance of events that will require their assistance and participation.

Life Enrichment Supervisor Minimum Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• 2 years related experience
• Knowledge and understanding of the field of geriatrics and the interpersonal, spiritual and psycho-social needs of older adults.
• Current valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written format
• Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, Resident's Bill of Rights, OSHA, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, Right to know, HUD Policy and Procedures, ADA, Fair Housing laws and regulations and SDS

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Previous supervisory experience
• Previous experience working with seniors
• ADC, ACC or CTRS preferred but not required
