Overview of the role
Licensing Coordinator will be responsible for researching state licensing requirements, applying for, and maintaining licenses for Vita Health Clinicians, DEAs, and other required licenses, as needed. This position will also require follow-up calls with various state licensing Boards to obtain application status.
Responsibilities/ Duties
- Research the state laws, rules & regulations, and to identify the licensing requirements and resolve any licensing issues
- Obtains all supporting documents and information required for licensing
- Collaborates with Credentialing dept in obtaining and maintaining licenses in states where required
- Oversees licensing application process and submits license applications to the state, county, and local licensing agencies as required to meet aggressive internal deadlines
- Collects, organizes, tracks, and manages items requested by state boards for multiple providers. Including, but not limited to, fingerprint cards/background checks, employment affiliations, notarized forms
- Assists Operations team with weekly licensure audits to ensure accuracy
- Maintains a log of licenses with all pertinent information, including costs and expirations dates
- Completes and submits all renewal applications and supporting documents in a timely manner to avoid any lapse in licensing period
Compensation: $38k - $46k annually
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED
- 2+ years of provider licensing experience, and/or healthcare customer service / administration experience
- Ability to perform multiple task in a confidential, fast paced environment with attention to detail
- Excellent written and Communication Skills
- Ability to preform duties from a private remote location with strong internet connection
- 2+ years of records keeping
