Gig Harbor Veterinary Hospital is a long established, independently owned single DVM practice in Gig Harbor, WA. We are under new ownership and are looking to add to our team of professionals. Gig Harbor Veterinary Hospital is looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician. We go the extra mile in client service and are looking for a positive individual with an easy-going attitude to complete our team. We have the best patients that we spoil rotten, but we need more hands to help with this. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarian with routine medical, diagnostic, dental, and surgical procedures.
• Aseptic preparation of patients for surgery.
• Assist with post-operative care of patients after anesthesia and surgery.
• Ensure that the facility is clean and well-stocked at all times.
• Reliable completion of daily checklists.
• Ability to restrain patients of all sizes safely and securely.
• Able to lift 50 lbs, often involving kneeling, crouching, standing for long periods of time.

Experience:

• Graduation from AVMA accredited Veterinary Technician program.
• 18+ years old with high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to work effectively with a diversity of people including pet owners, technicians, assistants, receptionists, and other professionals.
• Must be able to communicate effectively to all levels of personnel and be able to maintain confidentiality.
• Must maintain good personal hygiene and professional appearance.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must be able to pass a background check.

Salary: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
