Licensed Veterinary Technician

We are seeking full or part-time Licensed Veterinary Technician at Truckee Meadows Veterinary Hospital, Reno – Nevada

Who you are:

Are you a reliable, kind individual, independently motivated self-starter, who likes to learn and teach others? If you are a LVT who is looking to explore a career at a responsibly growing practice, we want to meet you! No weekends or late nights! Potential for 4 - 10 hour shifts per week. Not interested in the full time grind that's ok. We offer flexible part time schedules. Salary starts at $25 per hour based on experience with potential of a bonus each month based on the financial success of the hospital. Up to $1000.00 signing bonus.

Basic Required Qualifications:

• Associates Degree
• Veterinary Technician License
• 1+ years of clinical experience in the veterinary industry
• Assisting Doctor with patients in all aspects of care
• Prepping patients for surgery/treatments
• Monitor patients during surgery/treatments
• Filling Prescriptions
• Assisting with laboratory work and diagnostic imaging
• Providing compassionate care to patients and pets being boarded

Desired Experience:

• General Practice Knowledge
• Prescription Knowledge
• Anesthetic Monitoring, anesthesia induction experience
• Venipuncture
• Catheter Placement
• Calculate Dosages & Dilutions
• Dental prophylaxis and dental x-rays
• Running in house diagnostics
