Key Responsibilities:
As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, we want to leverage your license to its fullest potential, empowering you to utilize the skills and knowledge you gained to make a meaningful impact in animal care. Your role will encompass a variety of essential tasks to ensure the success of our practice, including:
- Engage in professional client communication and education.
- Conduct laboratory procedures, including hematology, cytology, urinalysis, and blood chemistry.
- Perform diagnostic imaging and implement safety protocols for fellow staff members.
- Assist in surgical procedures, maintaining the surgical environment.
- Administer anesthesia, monitor patients, and maintain anesthesia equipment.
- Provide nursing care such as administering medications via various routes, applying and maintaining bandages, and addressing the physical and psychological needs of patients.
- Undertake additional, more advanced duties as assigned, with training provided.
