Muir Wood Adolescent & Family Services is a residential treatment program designed specifically for teens ages 12-17 suffering from mental health and substance use conditions. The Muir Wood environment helps build strong peer relationships essential in early recovery, many of which blossom into enduring friendships. Our programs fill a crucial need by making mental healthcare available to the vast majority of families in need.

- Licensed LCSW, LMFT, PsyD, or PhD and two years or more of relevant clinical experience with adolescent, substance abuse and co-occurring disordered populations preferred
- Master’s Degree from an accredited or state approved graduate school in social work or social welfare; marriage, family and child counseling; child psychology; child development; counseling psychology; clinical psychology; social psychology
- TB required and health screen, along with CPR and first aid
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Fulfills direct service, including individual/family and group meetings, consultants, and crisis intervention
- Facilitation of individual and group therapy and management of milieu
- Assist Muir Wood staff through individual and group in-services in analyzing case problems and in improving their diagnostic, counseling, and child care skills
- Intake assessments as specified in Title 22 Group Home Regulations, Section 84068.1.
- Intake Assessments and Intake Studies. Obtain, develop and record information necessary to the completion of an Intake Study.
- Needs and Services Plan – development, review and evaluation, updating and modification of the plan.
- Discharge planning and Discharge Plans – collaboration, development and maintenance of a written removal or discharge plan in collaboration with Discharge Planner.
- Complete standard appraisals of the children in a format approved by DSS, CCL Licensing.
- Documentation of services as required by applicable law and regulation, and other duties as assigned to facilitate program success and the ability of residents to benefit from programming.
- Attends all department meetings and other meetings as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
Pay is $90,000-$120,000 based on education and experience
