Position Overview:

Suite Living Senior Care is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. The LPN will play a vital role in delivering quality care to our senior residents, working under the direction of the RN to monitor and address their healthcare needs. The ideal candidate will bring a compassionate approach, strong clinical skills, and a commitment to providing excellent care to our senior community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work under the direction of the RN to monitor clients' needs and changes in condition, conducting focused assessments and reporting results to the RN.
• Ensure that unlicensed staff members perform duties in a timely, quality manner, reporting any issues to the RN.
• Report changes in client condition or concerns to the RN promptly.
• Initiate emergency procedures for clients and report to the RN.
• Assist with the initiation of services for new clients, transfers, and discharges as requested by the RN Supervisor.
• Assemble and operate equipment such as oxygen suppliers and other client care equipment.
• Order, set up, and administer medications.
• Assist the RN in monitoring and evaluating the job performance of unlicensed staff.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Practical Nurse with current licensure with the State of Minnesota.
• Current CPR certification.
• 1 or more years of experience in Long-Term Care highly preferred.
• Interest in gerontological nursing, rehabilitative and restorative clinical practices.
• Trained Medication Aide (TMA) a plus.
• PointClickCare experience preferred.
• Must receive a "Not Disqualified" criminal background result from the Department of Human Services and may not be on the OIG Exclusions List.
• Must be screened for TB.
