HOURS: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM ALT. SATURDAYS SALARY: $34.87/hr. - $40.62 /hr.

The Family Medicine Center at Jamaica Hospital is a modern fully equipped medical facility. We provide a full and comprehensive range of primary and specialty outpatient care for patients of all ages, including newborns, infants, children, adolescents, adults (including maternity care) and geriatric patients.

Our Family Center consists of 34 examination rooms and four fully equipped procedure suites for office-based surgical procedures, full spectrum reproductive health care, and osteopathic manipulation. The Center features an ophthalmology suite, x-ray facilities, and an on-site laboratory. In addition, the Center offers a state-of-the-art electronic medical records system allowing patient to make appointments, check test results and view their medical history.

We are currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses with prior outpatient experience for immediate full-time day shift opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Selected candidates will administer care to patients of all ages, gender, and ailments.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Documenting nursing observations, interventions, and patient’s responses to treatment
• Performing vital signs, administering medications, performing electrocardiograms, and assisting with scheduling appointments when needed.
• Collecting specimens and performing phlebotomy for lab tests.
• Collecting and performing Point of Care Testing (POCT).
• Reviewing and maintaining vaccine documentation.

REQUIREMENT

• Bilingual Spanish/English a plus.
• Graduate of an accredited school for Licensed Practical nursing.
• NYS Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Minimum of (1) year of clinical experience, in an ambulatory care setting preferred.
• Experience working with pediatric populations preferred.
• Must be available to work alternate weekends.
