Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides high quality therapeutic services to clients while working effectively as a member of a clinical team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs initial intake sessions and makes recommendations about appropriate level of care and treatment options.
Utilizes the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders appropriately.
Develops a treatment plan, based on client’s strengths, and needs.
Assess client for suicide and other self-harm.
Provides high quality individual, couple and family therapy sessions by tackling the tough issues.
Accurately completes all documentation in the client’s electronic health record following all policies and procedures.
Collaboration with other healthcare professionals to meet the needs of the client.
Modify treatment activities or approaches as needed to meet the clients’ needs.
Refer client or family members to community resources or to specialists as needed.
Participates in weekly clinical meetings for team building, administrative information, case consultation and policy/handbook discussions.
Learn about new developments in the counseling field by reading professional literature, attending courses, workshops and trainings.
Upholds client confidentiality.
Seeks out supervision and case consultation as needed.
Maintain professional liability coverage throughout employment.
Maintains detailed temp license documentation per state requirements.
Adheres to all Licensure requirements and code of ethics.
Participate in networking efforts and community engagement.
Meets the Mandatory Reporter training requirements for the state the clinic is located in.

Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:

Education:
A minimum of a master’s degree and an active license in Mental Health counseling or social work in the state the clinic is located in.
Experience:
Prefer 1 year of working experience in providing Mental Health counseling.
Other Condition:
Must be willing to travel as often as needed
