Journeyman Plumber- New Construction Focus

Founded as Allen’s Plumbing in 1946, ATSM takes pride in fielding knowledgeable and qualified craftsman to perform the necessary problem locating and problems solving of commercial and industrial plumbing systems, small boilers, commercial water heaters, and lift stations.
About the Job:
Due to our ongoing growth, we are looking for an experienced full-time Journeyman Plumber with a New Construction Focus.
Candidates will be working primarily in commercial and heavy industrial settings with a large presence in industrial packing houses. Our technicians are on a rotating call schedule and occasional overnight travel is required. This position holds a Construction Focus, but will be subject to service and repair operations when necessary.
Our work includes:
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The primary job focus will be New Construction activities regarding plumbing applications.
- Reads blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals as applicable to new installations or assigned work orders.
- Performs scheduled and un-scheduled service and repairs on commercial, industrial, and some residential plumbing systems.
- Rough-in and top-off plumbing work – commercial/residential.
- Works in various installation, repair, maintenance, and service capacities individually, and as part of a crew.
- Diagnosis of malfunctioning equipment to determine cause and appropriate corrective action.
- Must qualify for “fitness for duty.”
- Installs, services, or replaces components including, but not limited to: boilers, water heaters, water softeners, sewage systems, lift stations, water/gas utilities, pumps, motors, bearings, valves, PRV’s, RPZ’s, and level controls.
- Performs physically demanding tasks related to installation and repair of plumbing systems.
- Performs preventive maintenance tasks according to established protocols.
- Completes required documentation (i.e. work orders, purchase orders, mobile tech, etc.) for services performed.
- Performs cleaning and maintenance of equipment, tools, materials, clean and operable work locations, and vehicles utilized; ensures adherence to principles and practices of safe equipment use and operation.
Requirements
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- Must be a currently licensed Journeyman Plumber, strong construction plumbing experience required.
- The ability to assist in providing journeyman oversite on construction site is a plus.
- Must have valid Driver’s License and be insurable.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check & Drug Test
- Minimum 3 years of verifiable employment as a Journeyman Plumber desired.
Extra Consideration will be made to candidates that have any of the following:
- Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester (BPAT) Certification
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range dependent upon experience but highly competitive. (We will pay top money for technicians at the top of their field). We offer an outstanding comprehensive benefit package that includes:
