So what am I going to be doing on a daily basis?

Under general supervision, repair and install residential and commercial electrical systems. Ensure all installation is done in a professional manner that meets current code requirements. Ensure customer satisfaction on all jobs.

  • Repairing, replacing and installing electrical systems in our customer's homes in a way that complies with all building codes.
  • Thoroughly checking the entire electrical system after the new installation for proper operation.
  • Ensure all required permits / documents are received for installation.
  • Recommending any additional upgrades that might benefit the customer; cross sell trades as possible.
  • Build strong customer relationships.
  • Build knowledge and understanding of new and existing customer needs / expectations.
  • Provide instructions to the customer on using their new electrical equipment / system.
  • Completing all necessary documents both electronic and paper upon completion of install.
  • Ensuring work area(s) are completely cleaned and returned to pre-install state for customer upon completion of install.
  • Wear floor savers while in the client’s home and maintaining a neat work area when performing a repair or scheduled service.
  • Re-check the system one more time after you have serviced or repaired it before leaving the client’s home to make sure that the system is working properly and that we did indeed fix it right the first time.
  • Always explain to the client what service you are performing. Explain and show the client how the company provides superior service.
  • Always be safety conscious both on the job and while driving.
  • Maintain an average ticket as per company expectations. Never sell the client a repair that they don’t need. Perform a proper inspection of the client’s system as part of service. Make sure you look for ways to prevent future breakdowns. Properly use the Price Book to avoid customer price confusion.
  • Explain the benefits of newer equipment to the client. Always look for opportunities to cross-sell to other trades in the company.
  • Explain the Heart Family Memberships to the client, giving them an opportunity to join.
  • Always record the age of the system on each and every invoice to ensure proper company records.
  • Teach, train and guide apprentice electricians with the skills necessary to obtain licensing.
  • Maintain your truck so that it is neat and clean on the inside and outside at all times. The truck is one of the best billboards that the company has. Park the truck for the maximum impact of the “billboard” when possible.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES

  • May work with, teach and train an apprentice electrician

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Background check and Drug Test required for hire. Heart is a drug free employer, which includes marijuana.
  • Must have a valid, insurable driving record and license.
  • Valid Colorado Professional License on file with DORA (RW / JE / ME)
  • Must have at least a working knowledge of the Heart service area street / interstate system.

EXPERIENCE

  • Must be licensed Residential / Journeyman / Master Electrician in the State of Colorado, or be able to obtain a Colorado license within 30 days of employment
  • Experience with Service Titan helpful

MATERIAL/EQUIPMENT USED

  • Computer / cell phone/tablet.
  • Company credit card.
  • Company provided vehicle

PHYSICAL DEMANDS /WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, and carrying, both outside and inside. Exposure to extreme temperatures, both hot and cold for moderate periods of time.
  • Requires constant travel to customer job locations.
