A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER
This position will be responsible for a comprehensive provision of therapeutic counseling activities to presenting clients. A Licensed Clinical Social Worker performs individualized client intakes, assessments, and creating individualized service plans. From a treatment perspective, the LCSW utilizes models of treatment including but not limited to Assertive Community Treatment, Recovery Models of Treatment and Trauma Informed Care. You will compile and collect data, prepare data and reports, maintain client records, as well as document assessments and evaluations in the treatment plan for clients. It is critical to coordinate with primary care providers and natural supports to ensure effective treatment for both physical and mental health concerns of the client are being addressed. The Licensed Clinical Social Worker attends clinical meetings for caseload supervision and consultation, discussion of treatment strategies and monitoring of client progress. Documentation of client progress, treatment, and follow up is done using the electronic health record (EHR). The LCSW also facilitates referrals for clinical indicated services outside the primary care clinic (i.e. social services such as housing assistance, vocational rehabilitation, and specialty care). As an LCSW with Recovery Consultantsof Atlanta, there is an expectation to participate in our Quality Improvement Committee and ensure all services provided comply with our professional standards, state and federal regulations, and the policies and procedures of RCA.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker
- Certified Addiction Counselor at state or national level
- Master's degree in behavioral health required; License to practice psychotherapy in the state of Georgia (LCSW LMFT, or LPC)
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER
- Experience working with individuals and their identified issues surrounding substance abuse, mental health disorders, and primary care is required.
- Must have a working knowledge of various counseling techniques and intervention strategies effective in rehabilitation of individuals with behavioral health disorders.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Microsoft Outlook).

This full-time position is onsite and typically works from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
