License Plate Reader Technical Lead

The License Plate Reader Technical Lead provides collection, analytical, and information dissemination support for the National License Plate Reader Program; provides the El Paso Intelligence Center (EPIC) leadership with objectively based information for making decisions on the administrative and programmatic aspects of EPIC Programs, operations and management; and supports EPIC mission planning, schedule updates and maintenance which shall consist of tracking ongoing, backlogged and planned EPIC programs that supports the operation.

• Assists the government staff in developing engineering Quotations for system changes.
• Assists the government staff in the operations of standalone systems deployed in support of DEA operations
• Assists in the transfer of data from standalone systems to DEA storage for analysis.
• Assists government staff in the monitoring and the overall direction of the development of systems to transfer information between disparate automated information systems.
• Conducts telecommunications and network troubleshooting.
• Analyzes and supports off-site computer operations.
• Coordinates with the users of production applications to identify issues for resolution.
• Performs data recovery using off-line resources.
• Monitors system resources.
• Provides first-line support for operational problems for standalone systems.
• Provides instruction in the use of standard software packages and specialized applications.
• Gathers information from users.
• Defines work problems.
• Develops procedures to resolve problems.
• Develops complete specifications to enable computer programmers to prepare required.

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in any field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the development and monitoring of policies and procedures designed to provide management control over a large scale support services function. OR
• Completion of military, law enforcement technical school with 10 years on-the-job experience OR
• Associates Degree with 10 years of on-the-job experience may be substituted for education requirements
