About this Opportunity

Assists Community Relations Team in capturing library programs, events, and services on video, and developing content for social platforms.

Essential Job Duties

  • Collects video at library programs as requested;
  • Works with staff to tell the story of the library visually;
  • Work closely with team members on ideation and creation of social media;
  • Performs all work duties and activities in accordance with City policies, procedures and safety practices;
  • Attends work regularly at the designated place and time;
  • Performs related work as required.

  • Ability to show good judgment, strong attention to detail, and manage projects from beginning to end;
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment;
  • Experience using social media for marketing;
  • Proven ability to shoot and edit video;
  • Conscientious punctuality for programs/events and to meet deadlines;
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team;
  • Be available for 20 - 25 hours a week;
  • Ability to communicate professionally over the phone and email;
  • Flexibility to work select special events and programs days, nights, and weekends
  • Ability to secure own transportation to and from assignments.
