Summary
Provide research services and student engagement programming in the library, typically during daytime hours at the East Peoria Campus. Work with faculty and other campus stakeholders to ensure student success in coursework and promote library services to the college community.
Essential Functions

- Develop and coordinate instruction services, including collaboration with faculty to determine instructional design and deploying and analyzing assessments.
- Create tutorials for students on the usage of library databases and other resources.
- Research materials and information via online or in-person requests by students, faculty, staff, and community patrons.
- Develop and maintain faculty relationships which encourage the use of online library tools to help students with research.
- Coordinate the "One Book, One College" Program, including selecting titles and planning programming.
- Organize, deploy, and assess programming to engage students with library resources and services, enhancing their sense of belonging.
- Train and supervise on-call librarians.
- Assist users in obtaining materials via intralibrary and interlibrary loan.
- Process interlibrary and intralibrary loan materials.
- Participate in collection development and work with faculty to encourage their participation in the process.
- Participate in professional development opportunities within the college, Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Illinois (CARLI), Network of Illinois Learning Resources in Community Colleges (NILRC), etc.
- Perform related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications

- Master's degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited institution.
- Knowledge of library instruction practices.
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- One to three years of direct experience.
- Experience using automated library services.
- Teaching and community college experience.
- Strong online research skills.
- Strong Learning Management System (LMS) skills.
- Experience coordinating projects with external stakeholders.
