Job Description
Description: Provides administrative assistance to attorneys and paralegals to include typing pleadings, correspondence, and other documents from handwritten or dictated instructions. Employee will forward victim information to victim advocates; take dictation; compose and type routine correspondence and read and route incoming mail; scan police reports, correspondence and legal documents into office case management system and send to appropriate courts or offices; ensure proper indexing and electronic filing of legal documents; close out case files; and perform other duties as assigned from time to time. Employee will occasionally work on weekend or holiday mornings to assist with weekend criminal charging per office rotation schedule.
Essential Functions: Competencies: Typing; scanning, faxing; familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; ability to learn data entry programs including, but not limited to: JailTracker, BMV, INPCMS, Incite and Odyssey; copying and filing documents; answering telephones and message preparation; ability to multitask.
