Assured Guaranty is seeking to hire a summer intern onto the corporate legal team for an 8-10 week assignment.
Primary Responsibilities
The intern will be exposed to a variety of areas, with primary focus on corporate securities law and corporate governance processes. You will work closely with our corporate legal team and collaborate with other members of the Assured Guaranty Law department, including regulatory attorneys and attorneys supporting our municipal, public infrastructure, and structured financings business lines. The candidate will assist with contract management, legal research related to various securities law issues, and other duties as assigned.
Candidate Background
- Must be a 1L or 2L student
- Interest in corporate securities law preferred
- Track record of strong research skills
- Team player with solid interpersonal skills
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- The ability to work well independently as well as part of a collaborative team
The salary for the position is expected to be from $30 per hour to $35 per hour. The actual salary will depend on various factors, including but not limited to a candidate's experience and credentials, salary expectations of applicable candidates, and other applicable market conditions. This position provides a weekly all-firm catered breakfast and lunch (Tuesday and Wednesday) as well as intern-specific meals and events.
Note: Housing stipend may be available for non-local interns.
