Seeking Alpha is looking for an exceptional Legal Counsel to join its growing legal team!

Requirements:
- J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least 1 U.S. state bar
- 5+ years of legal practice
- In-house legal experience at an international company, focusing on the marketing and product teams
- Experience in contracts law, consumer protection laws, review of marketing materials, privacy, managing litigation proceedings
- Advantage: experience with the regulatory framework applicable to publishers of financial content (for example, the Communications Decency Act)
- Ability to provide practical business-oriented legal advice
- Ability to work independently and efficiently on multiple time-sensitive tasks
- Excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative spirit
- Strong attention to detail
The applicable salary range for this position is $130,000/yr to $170,000/yr which depends on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs, and market demand.
Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing legal guidance to all company departments, particularly the marketing, product and content teams
- Draft policies & procedures and review marketing and website materials
- Advise on and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and industry standards
- Keep up-to-date on regulatory and policy developments, particularly those relating to publishers of financial content
- Draft, review and negotiate legal contracts (services agreements, license agreements, consulting agreements, NDAs, DPAs, etc.).
