National Recovery Associates seeks Negotiators, Prelegal Collectors, Judgment Enforcement Agents or Asset Recovery Specialists to help manage legal accounts and judgments. Familiarity with judgments and enforcement techniques is required. Strong negotiating skills, professional telephone demeanor and legal collection knowledge is required as a large part of this position involves telephone communication with judgment debtors or accounts ready to be litigated, explaining the facts surrounding the obligation and must be able to adequately describe judgment enforcement actions that may ensue.

• Directly interact with debtors to try and resolve their debt prior to litigation.
• Directly interact with judgment debtors to inform them of the judgment, explain any background they may require and then negotiate payment plans.
• Determine best method for recovery by skip tracing and locating debtors, employment, earnings, liabilities, assets, and ability to pay.
• Must be able to converse with sophisticated consumers about the ramifications of a judgment.
• Must be able to explain the litigation and judgment enforcement process
• Comply with all specific workflow requirements.
• High level of professionalism and integrity

Requirements:

• Experience as a collection paralegal, consumer collector, skip tracer or other position involving legal collections process.
• Basic understanding of garnishments, bank attachments and liens
• Strong attention to detail, ability to comply with company and departments procedures
• Strong negotiation skills, solve problems effectively, exhibit active listening skills
• Ability to work in a cooperative and positive manner with coworkers
• High school diploma required; College or paralegal degree preferred.
• Proficient with numbers.
• Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proven problem-solving ability.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Legal industry or professional services firm experience.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
