Legal Assistant/Secretary

Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to attorneys
- Prepare and draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and contracts
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Assist with case management, including organizing files and maintaining case calendars
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and court hearings
-Prepare correspondence
- Perform general clerical duties, including answering phone calls, filing, scheduling appointments, and photocopying

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a legal secretary or similar role
- Proficient in legal drafting, research, and writing skills
- Familiarity with legal case management software (e.g., Westlaw)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure
- Knowledge of project management principles is a plus
- Ability to transcribe dictations accurately and efficiently

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $11.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• No weekends

Travel requirement:
