Job Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team at Arbor Lakes Apartments as a Leasing Consultants, one of the premier apartment communities in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This position is responsible for supporting the team in planning, directing and coordinating activities associated with the governance activities of the property.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Greets prospective residents and qualifies applicants by covering all criteria (asks questions; utilize completed guest cards, etc.)
· Inspect models and available “market ready” units, communicates related service needs to Property Manager.
· Accompanies prospects to apartments and discusses size and layout of rooms, available facilities, services and terms of lease.
· Ensures the apartment is ready for resident to move-in on agreed date.
· Assists in monitoring renewals. Distributes and follow-up on renewal notices.
Resident Retention
· Receive all telephone calls and in-person visits. Listen to resident requests, concerns and comments.
· Quickly and efficiently complete maintenance service requests and inform the maintenance team of required work orders. Ensure all maintenance repairs are handled satisfactorily by contacting residents with completed service requests.
· Assist in planning resident functions. Attend functions and participate as host for any functions as directed by the Property Manager.
Assume Property Manager’s duties/authority in absence of immediate supervisor in accordance with company and property guidelines
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong supervisory and leadership skills, with ability to train others.
· Understanding of laws, guidelines, and best practices of property management.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with MRI and Nexus Payables preferred.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Real Estate, Finance, or related field preferred but not required.
· 2+ years of related experience preferred.
