Leasing Agent 

The Leasing Agent serves as the central point of communication between the Community residents, Community management, as well as community maintenance teams. This position is responsible for welcoming prospective residents to the community, coordinating tours, and responding to incoming inquiries about leasing. Direct interaction with current residents regarding day-to-day issues as well as coordinating the renewals of existing leases.

Essential Duties

  • Interact with current and future residents regarding day-to-day issues as well as coordinating the renewals of existing leases
  • Maintain thorough product knowledge of the property and that of major competition,
  • Effectively lease apartments and sell property’s products and services in accordance with budget,
  • Ensure Fair Housing Standards in all matters when working with prospects and residents,
  • Follow up on leasing traffic entries and monitor traffic trends,
  • Maintain thorough product knowledge of property and that of major competition,
  • Assist with marketing activities to position Bell communities as communities of choice,
  • Coordinate the resident application review in accordance with Bell guidelines,
  • Complete lease packets and files for each resident to include the lease, all addendums and other proper documentation as indicated on checklist,
  • Follow up with residents throughout the lease,
  • Receive and manage any resident inquiries, complaints, or issues and provide timely follow up

Job Requirements

  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • At least 2 years leasing experience perferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of computer operating systems (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • One-Site knowledge is preferred but not necessary

Education
High School diploma or GED required and the ability to read and write English and Spanish fluently, the ability to accurately perform intermediate mathematical functions and the ability to understand and perform all on-site resident management software functions. 

Professional Experience 

A minimum of 3 year of customer service experience; hospitality or an apartment leasing role preferred, must have strong interpersonal skills; ability to get along with diverse personalities; tactful; mature, flexible.

Attendance/Travel Requirements

The position requires the ability to work any of the seven days of the week, 52 weeks of the year.  Due to the property staffing limitations, it is extremely critical that individuals be able to work their scheduled hours on a consistent basis and, if necessary, overtime hours when requested.  Travel may be required at times to attend various owner gatherings either in the general vicinity of the associates home property, or in another state.  You must also be able to attend certain resident events that are held after hours.

Computer skills

  • Minimum of basic knowledge of computers
  • Ability to use Outlook and OneSite
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Minimum of basic Internet knowledge

Physical Demands
Must be capable of physically accessing all exterior and interior parts of the property and amenities. Must be able to push, pull, lift, carry or maneuver weights of up to 50lbs. independently and 100 lbs. with assistance.
