What you will be doing
The Learning Management Specialist is responsible for providing oversight of the Learning Management system (LMS), including technical support for internal and external partners. This position will provide administrative updates, reporting, and perform all associated enrollment management tasks and will interface with a variety of clients, from institutional systems to individual faculty to students and learners.
This position will provide training and maintain onboarding materials for end users of all types of the LMS system. Additionally, you will maintain content and credential libraries within the API Connect platform to keep offerings current for all interested clients and learners. This position will also provide periodic reports on usage, engagement, and performance.
You will be responsible for driving best practices in online learning and ensure success by delivering interactive and dynamic learning experiences for learners of all types. You will provide technical support, trouble-shooting, and creative problem solving to help resolve technical issues within the LMS.
This position ensures client satisfaction and delivers a product experience that aligns with API’s commitment to best-in-class user experiences. Responsibilities include driving revenue and growth and advance how API works with partners to help them accomplish their goals and provide more learners with the opportunity to participate in experiential learning.
REQUIREMENTSHow you will get the job done
Primary responsibilities include:
- Manage LMS enrollment processes for students and learners
- Troubleshoot and resolve LMS technical issues and user requests
- Serve as point person for training and onboarding new users into the LMS
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure frictionless technology experience
- Maintain data in APIConnect content and credential libraries
- Collaborate cross-functionally to gather requirements for learner experiences in the LMS
- Deliver interactive, engaging, and excellent quality content via APIConnect, mobile, and Learning Management systems.
- Maintain relationships with external vendors and make recommendations as needed to fulfill requests or update systems to ensure excellence in quality.
- Deliver content that follows best practices for equity and access in online learning, including leveraging technologies necessary to promote access.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
What experience you should have
- Previous experience managing a Learning Management System (LMS) required.
- Professional experience in educational/instructional technology, distance learning, or related field, preferably in higher and/or international education preferred.
- Professional teaching and/or training facilitation experience (in-person or online) preferred.
- Technically inclined and curious to learn ways to support experiential learning with technology.
- Demonstrated experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence.
- Solid analytical skills with a good understanding of systems, processes, and technology to drive results.
- Demonstrated experience with organizing projects in fast-paced environment, including excellent follow-up and follow-through.
- Experience with successfully managing stressful situations, making difficult decisions and dealing with ambiguity.
- Excellent communication skills, including business etiquette with regards to drafting emails, responding to emails, conversing with clients via telephone.
- Strong customer service focus.
- High level of enthusiasm, energy, and flexibility.
- Demonstrated experience with organizational skills.
- Proactive problem solver with strong judgment, diplomacy, and interpersonal skills.

- Study abroad or overseas experience preferred.
KEY EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
- University degree from an accredited Institution Is required.
- Certifications specific to Learning Management systems, training/onboarding, or data management
