The Learning and Development Coordinator spearheads activities that help QCH staff develop professionally, to grow in their roles and help meet agency goals. The Coordinator will meet with the various groups in* QCH* to identify and understand their needs and preferences, research ideal opportunities, facilitate training and workshops, and refer to them other services when necessary. They may also perform clerical tasks such as preparing and processing documents, answering inquiries, and handling calls and correspondence. This is a hands-on position in a lean HR Department.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work closely with program leadership to identify professional development needs and opportunities to strengthen staff capacity to achieve programmatic and agency goals.
- Conduct needs analysis, surveys, and other assessments. Analyze gaps and research best practices to address the missing competencies
- Develop an annual, organization-wide annual Learning and professional development assessment and plan.
- Curate and / or develop a broad range of training opportunities for different types of roles, in accordance with plan. This will include:
- Job-specific skills
- Management and leadership skills
- Soft skills topics such as effective communication, collaboration, professionalism, creative problem solving, coaching and mentoring, adapting to change, and customer service
- Coordinate, organize, and promote employee engagement opportunities and activities such as social events, team-building sessions, and employee recognition
- Identify opportunities using both traditional and technology approaches such as formal group and individual training, coaching, web-based programs, e-Learning systems, and interactive video as appropriate
- Coordinate all logistical elements of trainings, including room reservations, supplies, online registrations, etc.
- Use communication tools to promote training opportunities to staff and managers
- Develop and implement systems to track completion of training and any certifications
- Monitor development programs and evaluate the effectiveness of, preparing reports and recommendations related to outcomes and possible improvements
- Support implementation of annual employee evaluation process
Qualifications:

- 1-3 years’ experience working in human resources, training, or professional development
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Ability to foster positive relationships with staff and leadership
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
- Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
- Ability to design and implement effective training and Development.
- Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently
