About the Opportunity:
Digital Management, LLC (DMI) is seeking a Lead UX Designer to support work for a platform project to support a State Government client on a high visibility program in the Salem, Oregon area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with functional lead, business analysts, end users and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide user-centered design.
- Facilitate workshops, lead focus groups, conduct user interviews and usability evaluations, determine information architecture, and build user-centered design requirements.
- Design and develop wireframe or prototypes based on requirements and validate the design with users.
- Work with the application team to make sure that the components are in compliance with UI/UX guidelines and Standards.
- Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
- Make strategic design and user-experience decisions that maintain a consistent user interface across all application functions/components.
- Drive and participate in usability testing.
- Perform UX audits and tests to iterate over existing designs and optimize the customer/user experience on a recurring basis.
- Communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences – product owner, SMEs, business analysts, developers, etc.
- 8+ Years of experience on end-to-end user centric and creative design
- Exhibit strong design skills, informed by user needs and driven by creativity.
- Hands-on experience creating a powerful UX/UI in IOS/Android mobile apps and websites.
- Experience working with high and low fidelity design tools to deliver prototypes, mockups, and wireframes optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
- Ability to communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions clearly and effectively to teams and clients.
- In-depth knowledge of ADA compliance
- Familiar with usability and accessibility testing
