The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the title underwriting process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion. Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the title underwriting team, providing guidance and support.
2. Review and analyze title reports, identifying potential issues and proposing solutions.
3. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
4. Collaborate with other departments, including legal and operations, to address complex title-related matters.
5. Stay informed about changes in Title Insurance regulations and industry best practices.
6. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including title agencies, underwriters, attorneys and lenders.
7. Train and mentor junior underwriters, fostering a culture of continuous learning
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in title underwriting, preferably in North Carolina, with a proven track record of success.
2. In-depth knowledge of Title Insurance regulations and industry standards.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster long-term relationships with agency partners.
6. Leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
