```Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing a nurturing and educational environment for children. You will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children, and fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and promote learning and development in areas such as literacy, math, science, and social skills
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and engagement
- Provide individualized attention and support to each child based on their unique needs and abilities
- Monitor and assess the progress of each child, documenting observations and maintaining accurate records
- Collaborate with parents/guardians to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's learning experience
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Supervise assistant teachers or teacher aides, providing guidance and support as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with young children in an educational setting
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices
- Strong understanding of toddler care techniques, including potty training, feeding, and nap schedules
- Experience in developing age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early literacy education
- Familiarity with behavioral health strategies for young children
- Ability to effectively communicate with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- Experience working with students with developmental disabilities is a plus
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred
