Lead Teacher Job Description
Position Type: Full Time
Compensation: Dependent on experience
We are looking to add an experienced and passionate educator to fill the role of Lead Teacher in our center. The perfect candidate will have a deep understanding of what it takes to teach young children effectively, be flexible in learning new methods of care for children, and able to create positive and lasting relationships with staff and families.
Duties:
● Create daily lesson plans
● Follow classroom schedules
● Collaborate with teacher aides to ensure children’s schedules are being followed
● Maintain inventory of children’s supplies and accurately fill out daily notes
● Help child development by following documenting children’s progress
● Change diapers as needed
● Be able to successfully potty train multiple children at a time
Requirements:
● Experience in an Early Childhood setting
● High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in ECE or related field preferred
● Excellent attendance
● Friendly and positive attitude
● Ability to lift up to 50lbs
● Ability to stand for most of the day
● Ability to be flexible in assisting teachers in other rooms as needed
Upon being hired, a negative TB test and a fingerprint clearance card must be presented to employer BEFORE your first shift. After being hired, enrollment and completion of Health and Safety training courses must completed within 90 days of your hire date.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.40 - $20.40 per hour
