Job description

Sr. Technical Analyst/Kanban Lead, you will maintain a solid knowledge base of the functional capabilities of the various areas and Life products within the assigned product portfolio. You will use agile/kanban methods to analyze, define and document requirements. You will work with stakeholders and product teams to drive consensus on scope, design, and implementation decisions. You may be asked to provide agile/kanban coaching to product and development teams and facilitate agile ceremonies. You will partner with Product Managers in leading, directing, and reviewing all activities associated with delivering technology products.
Responsibilities:
  • You will work with business owners to define and document requirements & specifications as well as write user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
  • Provide in-depth and sophisticated analyses with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions and influence strategic functional decisions.
  • You will have the opportunity to participate in Design Thinking sessions, and other methods to gain insights into end user and customer needs.
  • You will lead the product and enhancement backlog for a product by facilitating visioning sessions, assist in defining and prioritizing features and by maintaining backlogs.
  • You will partner with other Analysts & Product Owners to collaborate on team dependencies
  • You will engage with various ITS organizations to resolve problems in production and non-production environments as they arise.
  • You will possess overall understanding of appropriate business processes and workflows.
  • You will engage business owners and other ITS resources to respond to requests for new applications and/or enhancements
  • You will partner on all Testing and QA activities within the project lifecycle, to including develop and execute Test Plans, Test Scripts and all other work and activities related to Quality Assurance of the Products.
  • You will partner with business leads to plan and execute User Acceptance Testing.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications.
  • 10+ years of experience working in supporting multiple software projects in various IT roles.
  • 5+ years of Business Analyst or System Analysis experience in an agile environment.
  • Experience performing systems analysis of Mainframe life insurance administration systems.
  • Prior/Current experience in Life insurance Products
  • In-depth insurance domain knowledge.
  • Experience performing systems analysis of Mainframe life insurance admin system using COBOL language.
  • Experience working with DB2 or any relational database.
  • In-depth knowledge of software development lifecycles including Agile development and testing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications, organization, analytical, planning and leadership skills.
  • Strong management, communication, technical and remote collaboration skills.
  • Excellent team collaboration skills, to include experience in dealing with multiple projects and multi-functional teams, and ability to coordinate across teams in a large matrix organization environment.
  • Strong relationship building and maintaining skills. Fosters a climate conducive to establishing positive working relationships with customers (internal and external).
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Bethlehem, Pittsfield or Holmdel

Salary Range
$93,200.00 - $207,700.00
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
